of the most commonly requested types of training are listed below. Employee
Awareness Training This course covers the signs/symptoms of work related musculoskeletal
disorders, the importance of early reporting of signs/symptoms, ergonomic risk factors, and general workstation layout design.
Supervisor Training This
course covers recognition of ergonomic signs/symptoms, ergonomic risk factors, pros/cons of engineering versus administrative
controls, medical management, and workstation layout and design principles. Site specific case studies
are included. Management Training This
course is an overview of key components of an effective ergonomic process and steps for implementation. It
also reviews the role management support plays in the success of site ergonomic initiatives. Office Ergonomics Training This course covers ergonomic
risk factors in the office environment, ergonomic layout and design of the office environment, and basic techniques for assessing
the employees office workstation and addressing identified issues. Engineering
/ Equipment Design Training This course builds on a basic overview of
ergonomic principles. It focuses on detailed job analysis techniques used to identify ergonomic hazards
in both existing equipment and proposed equipment layout and design. Techniques for developing, implementing,
and validating workstation modifications which address identified hazards are reviewed in detail. Site
specific workstation evaluation case studies are included.
